This is a picture of Christine Campbell (nee Howe) on St Patrick Street, off Hardybutts. Part of this street can be seen at the side of St Patricks Presbytery, still with the cobbles. The shop on the right hand side was run by my aunty Agnus Moylett (nee Howe)

I remember the lady stood with the children she was Mrs O’Leary. The street was Higham St going across where they are stood. I remember the little girl.

Such a sweet little girl....looks like her coat was maybe made by her Mother, notice the deep, hand stitched hem.

The boy behind the pram is one of my school mates Leslie bannister,the photograph would be in the very early 1950s.

Also would the the building in scholefield lane at the top of the photograph be the Mount pleasant pub.

I remember Leslie Bannister’s sister they lived in Anderton St. Related to Harry Highton the clogger.

I know the Spotted Cow was further down Scholefield Lane
