The only memory I have of this Jubilee was we were moving to a brand new house on the actual day. People knocking on the door asking us to join in the celebration but we couldn’t. Removal men bringing furniture in and a two year old running about it was hard work… I still have the coins the children were given - I think they were worth 25 pence each at the time.
