Was the Crofters A still a pub when this photo was taken?

the photo was taken in 1903 and it doe show the crofters on the left, also there is a lamp advertising the Bulls head on the left while next to it is the white lion Hotel, remembered today by a sign on the barclays bank building, also the shops on the right with the canopys had only recently been completed.

Take note of all the men on the left of the picture. They are clearly waiting for the alehouses to open. This could be a Sunday lunchtime; they look eager to get in and get on the pop...Some things don't change...Typical Wiganers...Sad...
