I think there are still a couple of houses in the street but I think they're boarded up. I will be going past tomorrow and will look, but maybe someone from Platt Bridge can confirm before then.
A goodv friend of mine lived in this house in the early 70s
there 2 on the left hand sie the otherside bin knock down
It is still there one living in and the end one empty.
I can't even place it, I was born & brought up in Millers Lane. Where is it?
Maggie
Coming from hindley its the second or third street on the left after what was the victoria pub
i lived at no 1 and my daugther lived at no 3 for alittle while
My family lived at No 3 from 1948 until about 1957. My grandparents, the Dales, lived just up the road in Neville Street. I can remember starting school at St. Nathanials around 1953.
I think Syresham is a place in Northants. Wonder what the connexion is to Platt Bridge.Did the Langtons of Low Hall marry someone from there. Anyone know?
I went to school with a lad named Trevor Hughes during the1950-60s ,I think they moved away when we left school about 1966 he lived in this street second on left
My great grandparents lived at no.2 in the 1920s to 1940s, the Craggs.
