Spencers Lane, Digmoor c1969. Clearance by Skelmersdale New Town was well under way. Two rows of houses on the left had already been demolished although the first row nearest the camera was demolished a few years prior to the new town. The first building on the left is the Bowling Green Hotel. Some of the new town Digmoor estate houses can just be seen in the distance.
