Isn't it funny Ron, there isn't one of the disbelievers commented on this latest pic of Market St.
So, if one of you could come back & give a reason why you were so adamant, & in Ann M' case, insultingly so!

Ron Hunt and Mick , why do you keep babbling on whether trams ran up scholes or not, PLEASE do us all a favour and change your tune, even the Rev joined in to something that was not revelant, I think the main question was that is this a picture of Market street,

Ron Hunt, Get yourself a life, have you nothing better to do than forever sending comments in, the people who look at these pictures must be brassed of every time they see your name, have you no work or hobbies, PS, I could let you have a camera and a pedal bike which may help you get out more,

Hey John I am only replying to people who post derogatory remarks about me and other posters i.e. Art. Especially when we are right. Have you noticed none have replied???
And when you have contributed as much to this site as I, and many other people have. THEN you can tell me to get out on my bike with a camera. Can't see many of your contributions????

Ron Hunt, Your medal is in the post for all your contributions,sorry its only gold plated but you could give it a little polish before you send your contributions, you will not see many of my contributions as i am too busy with better things to do, like making a living for myself and family. I just like reading what the comedians put on.

Hi Val thanks for your comments. It's nice to know that what I have contributed to the site is appreciated. I don't think people appreciate that my collection of Wigan post cards and memorabilia etc. I have collected over the years, have cost me quite a considerable amount of money. Which I am only to happy to share with other like minded Wiganers.
These Keyboard Warriors don't bother me, I like a bit of repartee Especially when I'm proved right <g>

Just like to add a comment about Ron. Known him since Tommy Linacre days - same class. His very positive views and dedication to Wigan is superb and should be applauded not have negative response. Pity other people WRT Wigan have not got his passion. Any negatives against his views are not worth looking at!

Definitely Market Street, I have an old postcard showing the same shops though looking in the opposite direction.

Is that not Market Street, Hindley. It looks like the top right hand corner could be the church
