I think it was the Personnel Manager who died,the name Brian Cannon rings a bell,but I am not positive,also I believe Paul Sneddon was the Deputy Manager,I think the Manager was Robin Stewart.

Im almost certain the gentlemans name who passed away was Derek Dollman. Maybe someone at Heinz could confirm this.

It was definitely Dereck Dolman

Sadly it was Derek Dollman who passed away shortly after Princess Anne had left the factory. Derek was rushed to hospital but never recovered from a heart attack.
Derek had the honour of presenting the £30,000 cheque to Princess Anne for Save the Children Fund of which she is President.

They also named the trailers used to ferry plts around after him (the dollman trailers)
