Wow, those are amazing, Ron! I have a treasured copy of a child's 2d train ticket from Bickershaw and Abram Station to Lower Ince Station that Neil got for me, but that is the first time I've seen tram tickets.

I don't remember tram tickets Ron but I do remember buses where the conductor had those wooden 'things' with all the coloured paper tickets loaded behind springs !

Helen, I don't remember those wooden machines with coloured tickets that you mention on buses here in Wigan, but we went to Greece in 1999 and the conductors on the buses there had those same ticket machines with the coloured tickets. I'd forgotten them but it came straight back to me when you mentioned them.

The Wigan Corporation ticket was printed by Thomas Wall, who founded the Wigan Observer.
