I used to see this truck many times.The garage is now a care home and was at one time a BRS garage.

I knew the owners of Clarington Coach and Haulage, the Bibby family, in the early 1950’s, especially Norman’s youngest son Harold, who was my age (he later he ran the company). At the time I lived in the Crispin Arms, Birkett Bank and their offices were opposite the pub.

The Company had the contract to deliver pit hydraulic props from Gulicks at Ince.
