An interesting advert Jim, I never knew that they did such items like these other than bricks, the detailing looks very good and appears to be a lot better than some of the expensive reconstituted stone garden ornaments you can buy today.
The Cupid statue priced then at £5-10-0 in 1953, in todays money would be £193-50p according to a money equivalent site, with one pound then being equal to £34.99 today
Wonder if any of the statues have survived being accidently hit with mowers, hoes or balls etc., and still around today?

I think they also made teapots in their Ravenhead, Sutton, works.

Ravenhead Brick works were in Pimbo Lane,Holland Moor. Their bricks were used by Bickerstaffs ro build our house in Roby Mill in 1931

The original Ravenhead brickworks was in Ravenhead, that’s why it was called Ravenhead brickworks.
It was founded in 1767 and an early director was named Hugh Ainscough, of Parbold. No surprise there, eh?

I think the Ravenhead Brickworks were in Chequer Lane Upholland.

About sixty years ago, one of our neighbours got hold of one of the terra cotta bulldogs featured in this ad, and had it in his garden.
It didn't last long, because he also had a houseful of boisterous kids.

Jack, Ravenhead is an area of Sutton, St.Helens. It's where Ravenhead brickworks started, and Ravenhead Glass, also Ravenhead Colliery where the Anderton Shearer Loader (the machine which revolutionised the coal mining industry) was developed.
