Wigan's iconic confectionary to rival Bury's Black Puddings, Boltons Trotters, and Chorley and Eccles's famous cakes. I once saw them on sale in Dubai!

I remember when the new bus station was being built and the buses were dropping people off in King Street West. I was going to Boston House Eye Clinic and had to walk along Dorning Street; they must have been making Mint-Balls that day and the surrounding aroma was mouthwatering! My son went to San Francisco on his honeymoon years ago and was amazed to see tins of Uncle Joe's in a store there..... a little taste of home!
