A view of the Worsley Mesnes (Mellings) Patent auxiliaries on the Point of Ayr winding engine. From left to right: the reversing engine, the brake engine and the pneumatic controller. The red stand links the patent valve gear on the two sides of the engine, and also carries the patent plaque.
