Nearly 150 years on and after inspection, the client for the restoration and the contractor decided that it was not feasible to reuse the structure.

I don't know, at least Johno, Cudge, Neil and Raffy have got their painted names viewed on wiganworld.
They should have painted the bridge too, as it may have kept it in a better condition.
