I fished one of these matches in about 1958/59. I love the clothes we wore then for fishing: collar and tie etc. Nothing like what they wear today and not a fishing pole in sight ! Rods and reels and proper wicker baskets. There were even fish in the canal at Red Rock. No commercial fisheries and tame carp.
