My Dad used to work there, Joe Topping. I can remember standing at the top of Miry Lane when I was a kid waiting for him to come out. Wish I could go back for a day.
i worked at trench from leaving school to getting married in the sixties great memories of it
I worked there for about four years. Some great people worked there and I had some good times.
luxury apartments so they reckon now, sign of the times I guess sad but true.
At least it is still standing, better apartments than demolished. My Dad started his working life at Eckersleys Mill which was just a bit further down the canal I believe ?
I worked there from 1977 for about 5 years, left, and came back for a further 5. I had some fabulous times there. It was a sewing factory for Courtaulds at the time. I cant believe how time has flown and how much I actually miss it. Very happy days.
