Middle Row: ? /? Lundy/ Lincoln Banks/ Alan Parkinson/ ? Whitehill/ John lilly/ ? / Bill? Broomhead/ Stu / Peter Atkinson
Front Row: ? Charnock/ ? Lewthwaite?/ ? Higham / Malc Scarborough/ "Wink Martindale"/ ? / Dicky Dakin/ ? / John Simm / ????
Middle row 4th from left Alan Holbrook (Westhoughton)
Harry, I think you mean 4th from right? That's Alan Holbrook. 4th from left is Alan Parkinson.
Nicola I went to junior school with your dad, and several others on this photo. We all lived at Norley Hall where youy dad lived with his mother at the old peoples home where she was matron.
Think your grandad lived in Canada at the time but used to visit occasionally.
We all nicknamed Barrie "Marrow " but for the life of me don't know why.
Such happy memories looking at all those hansome boys, some were great characters.
Margaret, I think you have got the wrong photo.
Barry and some others from Norley Hall are younger than these lads, and are on page 3 in 1963.
I think middle row extreme left is Michael Gibbons.
This looks like one of the third forms - 3B or 3C. But I could be wrong
The form was 3ET. Happy days
Is that the Pey Atky (end of 2nd row RHS) who played for Orrell Colts. I recall he used to run head first into the opposition, wearing a scrum cap, trying to rip himself through and getting covered in blood in the process. Gave him full marks for effort, pity he wasnt bigger.
If it is then I didnt realise there were so many Linacre Louts about, Atki, Tony Bennet .. oh yeah ... that other passenger what was his name ... John something or other .. John Lydon .... Lino ... something like that.
2nd from left on front row looks like Freddy Laithewaite who went to St Georges.
Did Lincoln Banks go to St Georges for a year or two - sure he was in my infants class.
