This is Mrs Helen Moore, of whom I have very fond memories: always very kind. I never heard her say a cross word to anyone. She even gave me some of her old school prizes as she knew I loved reading. I'm grateful to David John Govan for putting this photo on the site.(Delete 'nospam' from my address if replying.)

A name from the past that has just sent a shiver down my spine... I may even wet myself!
Miss Molyneux!!!!
My god she was a tyrant! But.. but... she was a damned good teacher! Miss Dean I remember, but it is Mrs Moore I will always remember with fondness, they simply don't make them like her any more.
can anyone remember miss doherty. mr.rigby . miss eckleshire , or even mr. cairns /?
Hmm... Mr Rigby, beard, glasses and played the guitar. Others that spring to made Ceri Jones who played on the wing for Wigan rugby. Mr Taylor who was once a member of the british olympic team for fast walking and Mrs Ashton
God do I remember Miss. Molyneux. wacked me a few times with her ruler. A real tyrant. was at st. Nats from 1949-1955. Mr Hurst headmaster..nice man. Great teacher was Mr. Baily.
I was in miss Moore`s class around 1966. (I`m sure she lived in Parbold. lovely lady) I remember miss Dean and mrs Hindley. No-One taught by mrs Molenuex will ever forget her. i thought she really hated me, but to be fair to her, she hated everyone. :-)
I remember Miss Moore telling me how black and yellow go together.nc
