What a lovely photo all looking angelic. Unusual to see a coloured photo from that time. I hope someone can ‘fix’ the creases. I remember
‘ fair Isle’ cardigans that the girls are wearing. It looks like you are wearing a ‘wind jammer’ Dennis.

I don't know what's happened to the comment I put on this morning. It was just to say it was like my own Infant School days, (at the end of the 1950s), seeing the piano in the right-hand corner. I can imagine those children singing along to it as the teacher played "Bobby Shaftoe" and "I'll Go No More A-Roving".

EY-UP Marra, great reminder of our childhood days, we would be about 4 or 5 years old, Mrs Dicksons class. Dennis this means we have known each other for about 73 years goodness, where did they go. I'll bet like me you can still name most of those kids but sadly, quite a few have gone now. Thanks for posting Dennis, keep an eye out for the calendar mate, Walt.

Howdo Walt.
Ha me, Walt just thinking about sitting behind Mrs Dickson hammering out ‘Jerusalem’ on that old piano (Think Animal from Kermit The Frog playing the drums) still brings a smile to my face after all these years.
I don’t think any of us passed the 11plus, but we certainly learned the basics, and all that time spent repeating times tables was not wasted.

I was over the hill yesterday in the hills around Halifax taking pictures and what with the snow and all, the scenery was breathtaking.
Gods own country? Yes indeed.
Anyway, Walt I hope you and yours are keeping warm and well over there in the wilds of Yorkshire.

PS I’ll be looking for the Calendar.
