Lovely photo.
I used to visit my cousin who attended this school about that year. She lived in Duke street for a short while. When visiting we used to play around that area with a couple of girls who's parents ran the local pub the New Inn. Their surname was Barton. We lost touch when they moved to I think Warrington mid 1970's? Never seen them since. Happy memories.
