Can you recognise yourself or anyone ?
I'm sure third row up on the extreme right is Dave Marsh
who sadly passed away earlier this year and was a lovely
contributor to the 'Wallgate' thread.
I have just been on to the link. It was like reading a foreign language, but I suppose some other people as well as Len will know what it is all about. Len was a prefect and in the sixth form when I started at Thomas Linacre. He was a bright lad then.
Dave Marsh was from 'down your end' wasn't he Maureen, maybe York Street? I didn't know that he had passed away.
Yes Roy,Dave was from York street..he wrote an awful lot on the Wallgate thread which has been going on forever it seems over on communicate..it hasn't been the same since
he went.
Carl was you there from 58 to 63, think I remember you
Carl, i have also been on the link and as you say, not the easiest read. Len, it appears that you have had a very distinguished career, congratulations on your success, TLS certainly helped you on your way. Although i cant complain about my lot, the only three things we seem to have in common, are that we both went to TLS and we have both been to Leicester and Canberra.
George, yes I was. Are you George Orrell?
Roy. I loved my time in Canberra. It was so much a country town when I was there. What did you think?
yes Carl, you have it in one.It has been a long while mate, how are you doing.
Len, i am definately not a city man, i like visitng them, but couldn't live in one. Canberra is very nice and as you will know is now very modern city as its age would suggest, only 100 years old. My favourite Aussie city is Melbourne, that's probably because of its Britishness.
I doubt pictures like this would exist today.
