Mr Magnall had a fine aim with the board duster, great geography teacher. Mr Budworth was my form teacher last year at Lamberhead Green,.

Hi ya Roy,we were in the same class at one time, i lived at Orrell Post, and my initials are KG.I think i can identify more people, you are right about Valerie Parr,i think the girl second on the right of Val is Sheila Parr.
Also the four lady teachers who appear to be seated, the first on the left is Miss Brown, the next right i do not know, the next right is the domestic science teacher, whose name escapes me,and the last of the for is Mrs Statter

It was 1956 as I changed school in the summer and went to Wigan Grammar School..I cannot remember much about the holiday but I can remember it was the week before the TT as we got up early one morning before they closed the roads for practice and watch the practice from Creg ny Baa corner. I believe my spending money for the week was 10 shillings ( 50p )

Does anyone know if Mr. Budworth is still alive . I know mr . Magnall died . I was on the picture , but nearer to the back .

I would love to hear from people who could identify some of the other pupils.

A great holiday my first time away from home. I remember it with great affection - and being sick on the boat. Watched the TT practices at Kate's cottage with John Surtees screeming down the hill on his Italian Gilera bike. Spent most of the time roller skating lots of blisters.
I am on the third row from the back directly under the C in camp.
Three to the left me is Jim Rutter who sadly died in his late teens.
Dave Santus i remember well.
Irene Crew directly under L in holiday about three rows down.
Also remember Mr Budworth and Mr Cunliffe who used to let me in the woodwork shop during lunch times. i was mad about woodwork. Mr Magnall also a great teacher.
