Father Christmas giving out his presents at Woodfield. Miss Parkinson, headteacher, Miss Dunn and Miss Maybury. Mr Woodcock in foreground.I'm stood next to the girl with the check dress and ribbons in her hair. Many faces I recognise, but the nemes have gone! I remember Billy Sixsmith, sitting by Miss Dunn, Thurston Hannon peering at the camera from the back row; Stephen Parkinson next to me (no relation)and Peter Munday.

This is lovely! I love the pics of old classrooms, and the children's clothing is so reminiscent of when we used to get dressed up in our best clothes for the school Christmas Party. I love the cut-out figures of children on the wall; I can imagine the teacher made them. There was something special and homely about those old classrooms.Thankyou for posting it.

I can see myself Timothy Austin (very dark jacket, glasses, largely obscured but not escaping the beady eye of Mrs. Parkinson). I recognize Billy Sixsmith. Reminds me of unbelievable adventures connected with the railway, an open-cast mine, the River Douglas, and various building sites. We had a remarkable education.
