hi John, nice to hear from you ,have you seen the sports picture it's under St Cuthberts ,schools, album.
hi, jacky if its the picture with joe mcardle and fred riley yes i have. do you remember fred he used to shout on the touchline, kick um thump um scratch um plug um. he was my favourite trainers and good hearted sadly not with us anymore. thanks for keeping in touch jacky.
Yes i rembember, Riley would give us a rollicking if we lost.I thought Jack Keane was the best trainer, great bloke. my grandsons play for leyland warriors, st cuthberts beat them last week , under 10s
hi, jacky i myself think jack kean was cruel he would twist both sides of your sideburns realy bad fred would throw the blackboard duster at the back of the classroom but it never hit anyone. jack also stopped me playing the last year at school i was an order boy for tommy smailes and he told me either stop taking orders or he would finish me playing rugby and he did okay, i hope were still friends jacky.
hello John, i didn't know that side of him , not such a good bloke then, didn't like Fred though. I couldn't get in the 1st team at tommy mores, the were some good players. al still buy thee a pint if a bump into thy oreet.
oh, thanks jacky i will buy thee 2 back i suppose he did have good points for me as well, at st.cuthberts juniors i was picked for the town team, it was fred and joe macardle who trained us jack kean was in the senior school. at tommy more i was capt for the 13s and vice capt for the sevens. it was joe sweeney from st. josephs who trained us, jack only came late to take charge in the team.i was taking orders then he change the evening training. 17/6p was a big help for my mother.its the story of my life joke.god bless jack.
al bet you could have made it into Wigan academy with a bit of luck.we were all a bit sash strapped in them days. Was tommy smailes the butchers,I moved to Leyland when i married in1970,i still visit Wigan a lot, take care .
