Hi Dave the year was 1954 so it could have been Miss Ratcliffe class he was six years old.

Hi Glenys. My name was Christine Hinks not Ince. It is fantastic to see this photo. I am in contact these days with Elaine Cragg. Gosh were we ever that young? Would love to hear from any of the people. My email address is geevers@bigpond.com and I live in Australia.

Yes that was 1954, Mrs Ratcliffes class. I'm 3rd from right at the front. The class was the second year and that made me six years old. Missing is Brian Galvin who sadly got knocked down on Ince Bar. A new bus service had just been provided from Battersby St to Wigan and a lot of us kids used to pay 1p to go to Ince Bar and we would walk back up Belle Green Lane to go home. Brian, one of the first off the bus ran out from behind and got struck by a car. Mrs Ratcliffe made us all stand up on our seats the day after and gave us a stern talking to. I'd love to see more school photo's put on here, great to see.

Just looked at the school picture oh I have loved looking at you all its amazing to see some of my friends one in particular .Glenis Langton .

I was not in this photo but finished up in same class as a lot of these pictured. Happy Days (sort of) remember lots of names and faces. Now living in Portishead near Bristol. Paul Banks - still going strong - golf etc.
