Indeed it is Wanner. The house at the end of the terrace behind the little girls was the home of Mrs Clara Ashton, who eventually became the headmistress of St Nathaniel's Juniors... and from whom I got my love of reading.
My Dad worked in the office at the LUT depot early 50s, I attended St Nats school till I was 6 when we moved to Rochdale, we lived at 572 Liverpool Rd & my sister Maureen went to Moss Lane school she was about 14 when we left..I can still remember Coronation Day in 1953 and the party near St Nats I think...great days I have been back a few years ago but it's changed...Love this site & the old photographs are brilliant thanks everyone....
