The original title of the band, taken about 45/6 years ago. Acompanying the Standish Lower Ground/Shevingon St Annes combined walking day
James Cheetham JP, the band secretary leading up. I was one of the founder members of the band,(1952) but left before I took the photo, to join Wigan Town Branch British Legion Brass Band.

Did fred moss conduct then?
Yes Fred Moss conducted Crook Band and I was in the band above and had many great years with them I joined t 10 years old and got many photographs (now 69 !!)

Fred moss was my grandad. His brothers also played in the band

Thanks Norman for sharing another photo of the band with me - lovely to see many of our relatives who were in the band
That's my Grandad, Jimmy at the front, he was the Band secretary for many years.
