My friend Evelyn lives in one of those houses. I don't think there are any brick front walls any more, all been knocked down to make room to park the cars.

There's not many of the people still in Spindle Hillock who would have been there in 1954.
Sid Byrom is still there, Ken Ryder is there now, Mrs. Ashley is there. My mum and dad are there also, albeit not in this shot.
Yes, Janice it certainly brings back excellent memories, playing "COMICS & PAPERS" across the road without fear of any cars, also kicking a ball from one side of the road to the other. No cars but plenty of windows???

My maiden name was Harrison.My parents were Walter and Mary Harrison. I was born in 1953 and lived in Spindle Hillock. My sisters are Kathleen and Eileen. We used to hold the May Queen party in our garden. We moved to wales in 1960.
