Ince Ex-Servicemens Armistice Day Parade 1932 outside Ince Council Offices. My grandfather Francis Morgan Taylor MSM is on far right in flat cap. He was a Colour Sgt. in the 1/5th Manchester Regt. and served in Gallipoli and the Western Front.

According to St Mary's Magazine for November 1932, a short Service was held in the church on the day (a Friday)at 10.45am, with the laying of wreaths and flowers on the (church) Memorial - two minutes Silence then a procession to the Public Memorial in the Cemetery - a brief Service - the laying of wreaths and flowers on the Memorial Cross.
A Special Service was also held in church on the Sunday before.

The gentleman on the left in the bowler hat is my Great Grandfather, Thomas McCarty. Awarded DCM at Gallipoli and Mentioned in Despatches. Company Sergeant Major B Coy 1/5 Manchester Regiment. Trainer of Wigan Rugby League from 1919 to 1939. Catch as Catch can Wrestling Champion.
