my grandmother lived at 24 frederick st. we used to go for walks when i was small down the "brow" (pronounced "brue" past a woodyard and under a tunnel that brought you out along the path at the back of "kays" houses. we would proceed past the "cornfield" at the side of which i have a very clear memory of a "romany-type" caravan. the path led to the old entrance to westwood hall and we would continue to the graveyard, (Westwood Cemetry) if my memory serves me well. inside the cemetry (don't think i dreamed this) but there was a grave that held a monkey???? did i dream this? it seems hardly likely, but i was told its name was "cheeko" does anyone else remember this?
