The picture was taken by me in about 1980 just prior to them being demolished due to subsidence. I think that's why I took the photo, and having just found it, it brings back many memories of staying there.
It was a two up, two down house, outside loo and I remember the floors were all uneven.
I`m sure someone was on WW a while since asking if anyone had photos of these particular houses. Pity not more folk took pics for posterity until it`s to late.
my great gran and grandad charnock lived at 139 warrington road, then my aunt ivy moved to 159 warrington road. i remember her saying that there used to be 11 of them living there at one time!!!

I now that my great grandparents lived at 139 for a long time. so did my mum, madge charnock and my aunt ivy charnock. I have a receipt which says that a washer was purchased in 1961, with the address of 159 warrington road, but then 139 was written over it.all my other documents say they lived at 139 warrington road from late 1800's to 1960's.
i lived at 167 warrington rd.i was born there in 1950 till i got married in 1973.my mum lived there from about 1930 up to1978 i have three brothers alan,brian and ian turner dose anyone remember us.
my aunty annie and coisin edna jackson lived at 159 warrington road from before i was born that was 1950 edna left there in 1979.
We lived at 179. They were great days lots of open fields and a pond directly across the road were we could skate in winter.I remember Sandra Turner and her brothers very well.

I lived on the Worsley Mesnes Estate, just off Tyrer Avenue. I got married in 1980 and moved out. I remember a Mr and Mrs (Edna) Turner who lived a bit further up.
I LIVED AT 167 ITS THE HOUSE WITH THE YELLOW DOOR IN THE PICTURE.
