my dad worked at Heinz for 23 years. the cans in the shop appear to have labels on!! the cans dad brought home had no labels on and we were supplied with a list of codes so that we could mark the cans ourselves, i used to love doing this job as a child. does anyone else remeber this??

I ALSO REMEMBER THIS JOB WHEN THE TINS ARRIVED HOME!! FUN WAS HAD WHEN NO CODE EXISTED AND TINS WERE MARKED WITH A ? IS IT SOUP/BEANS OR RICE PUDDING?!!

I used to love labelling the cans at home from the list of codes!!! My dad cycled to and from work every day, how on earth he did it with bag fulls of staff sales, I'll never know!! Dad was Martin Dunne.
