Wigan Album

Looks like Hewlett Street to me though of course I could be way off! The windows look like the ones on the old clinic that used to be there.

That photo was taken in front of what is now Wigan Little Theatre.

Where ever the photo was taken in Wigan I wouldn't envy them travelling up to Glasgow in that bone shaker on the pre motor way system of roads. Also it would be interesting to know how they got hold of so many tickets for this annual fixture, which were like gold dust to obtain.The reception they would have got in Glasgow would probably been hot, as Hampden in a Scotland England match was no place for the faint hearted. Good photo all the same
