I recognise many of the children on this photo I am on part one of the photo. My best friend Irene Flynn is on the bottom row and her boy friend was David Speakman just wondered if she is still around. Would love to hear from her. Also good to see all the teachers especially the domestic teacher Miss Moody as she taught me some good cookery methods.

I'm the last one in the front row, on the right (partly cut off!). I remember several of the girls on the front row, Margaret Holcroft, Jean Ricketts, Marjorie Lythgoe (my friend). Also the teachers - Miss Moody (Domestic Science), Miss Greenwood (Sports Mistress) and Miss Nash (Science). Have been in Australia since 1965, but come back to the UK regularly. My sister Dorothy was also at HAGS, a year ahead of me.

Hi Marian it was great to find that you are still in the land of the living. I put another class photo on the website but none of the class acknowledged so it is good to remember our classmates. I have heard from some school pals who have emigrated not surprised really as Lancashire is a good county to have been brought up in but Australia probably has a better climate. Good to hear from you.
