That's Birch street and the shop on the righr used to be Gaynors Grocer/Greengrocers when I was a little lad living down there, & the shop next door was Sherrington Ironmongers, but no relation to the Big Sherrington company. Just an old lady, & you could get all your needs off her clog irons, gate latch, hinges nails, screws etc.
When this photo was taken my family owned the grocery shop next to Micron video and did for about 8 years before moving to Scotland. My parents were Bill and Ann Ashurst.
The hardware shop next to Gaynors grocery was owned by Mrs Gore. She had a son named Tony who was in my class at the Sacred Heart.
This shot reminds me of leaving your house after some late night/early morning card and drinking sessions.
I remember going to your shop Jane for my 10p pick and mix. I was Andrea's friend lived at 127.

Yes i remember Micron well with Dave and John oh and the old philips 2000 system !!! two reet con men ripped me off big time, i think the carpet shop was owed by Jean the Scottish alcoholic ?
I remember working for John Oates at Micro Video , terrible boss treated his staff awful so glad i got out
