Three of the teachers were still at H.A.G.S when I was there
'Sol'Healy /Miss Naish(look out the board duster is coming!!) and the Headmistress Miss Nicholson (we used to call her car Algy but I can't remember why)

Thanks Eric for the photo., I was at HAGS 1950-1955 and can recall these panoramic photos being taken in my time there (my mother wouldn't buy one on the grounds "where ever would we keep it?"). As anyone got one taken 1951-1955? Interesting to see Sammy Davenport - he was my class teacher when I was in the "top class" at St. Nat's Junior School Platt Bridge. I remember him as a great teacher.
Evelyn - Miss Nicholson's car was a "Singer" with reg. no. ALG ??? - hence "Algy"

Thanks Arthur, yes, she had ALG pre-war. The 1930 & '46 Photo's are in Hindley History Soc' Museum at the Library but I don't think we have any others.

Lovely to see this photo. Found my mother on it. I was also at HAGS 1958-1963. To see this means a lot to me. Thanks.
