I was in the brownies around this time but not on photo. The girl with the dark curly hair is Anne Gerrard - recently returned to Wigan after years of living away. She doesn't look any different now and is actually 50 in a few weeks (sorry Anne!)
Ihad never seen this picture untiil someone told me to look on Wigan WORLD last year.I was guide captain and am placed between the brownies and guides.In brownies I recognise anne gerrard and her sister in guides behind me is AnnBootle, Susan Culshaw, Elizabeth Cusanie,m/rowJulie Hamilton r/hand next to back Catherine Holbinson.
