You can just see the gone fishing water in the top left corner just above the Taylors lane bridge, we always knew that as cromptons, what memories you are bringing back Mr Sutch, keep them coming please.
Does anyone recollect the stone figures that lay behind the stop blocks at Bamfurlong north end sidings, they where strewn all about with other masonary,just dumped and lay there for many years one looked like the carving of a saint,I first recall them in the mid 1950s, never did find out where they had come from ,even the old hand drivers couldnt say, Anyone know?. The stop blocks where situated beyond the right span of Taylors Lane overbridge in the photo, and approximately adjacent to the rear coach.
The OHL mast on the exteme left of the picture above the wire drum was the south end of the training span for OHL staff that I mentioned in association with the previous picture on page six.
