Walking Day from St. Mary's Church in Lower Ince. 1950. Steeple of St. Mary's Church in background; St. Mary's School on right and vicarage was behind brick wall on left.
St Mary's Vicarage was not behind the wall in the 1950s. The Revd Samuel Bryson lived in part of the Hall of Ince between the wars. His replacement, the Revd. J Bebb, lived in a house in Spring View, and his replacement, the Revd. N Williams, lived in the Vicarage at the top of Westwood Lane, Lower Ince.
I used to visit a friend when I was a small boy in that house behind the wall on the left I don't remember his name though. My grandparents was at # 2 Rocky bank Terrace the Parkinsons.I lived there till I was 6 years old then we moved to # 5 Hilton Street I went to st Mary's school shown on the right, then on to spring view school
i think the young girl leading the banner is my mum kathleen mosley.
