I am in the middle of the back row, and my friend Kathy Wilson is next to me 2nd from the right.
The last time I saw her in 1986 she was living in Spain
The boy last on right middle row, is my cousin Graham Naylor who unfortunatley passed away a few years ago. Lovely boy
I remember quite a few faces on this photo.
I left Aspull in 66 having stayed to a 5th year.
My parents lived in Bolton Road and knew David Sutton and his wife well - he was dead within seven years of this photo: lung cancer.A really pleasant man; lived in Ashton in Makerfield, ex Royal Navy.
I also remember Mr Sutton, (never say "can I" , always say - "may I") he was a stickler for perfection, taught me practical drawing, sadly, I only realised just how good a teacher he was after I had left school, that was back in 1962.
Mr. Sutton, was a great teacher, brilliant mathematician and a totally great person, he taught me at Junior school, in New Springs and went up to Aspull with me when we all moved. He lived near my cousin in Ashton, and for his sins we dubbed him King Dithers, unfortunate nickname, but we loved him.

Does anyone from this school know anyone from the caine family from st johns road.two sisters one was called irene and heryounger sister was called evonne.
To Ed:
I didn’t go to this school because I lived in Hindley but my mum, her siblings and my grandparents lived at 23 St John’s Road Aspull next door to Mrs Annie Caine and her daughters. I think Yvonne married a man by the surname of Brown, sorry can’t think of his first name. In the early nineties Yvonne and her husband had a shop on Market Street in Hindley, which sold bread, pies, cooked meats and roasted chicken. I think they may have lived in Hindley Green. I don’t know what happened to them after that. They were a nice family.
