The little girl holding the lady's hand on the right is my mum,Phoebe Fowler,as she was then. She was born in 1928 at 8,Reservoir Street,Higher Ince. Her siblings were Bill,Evelyn,Nora,Albert,Elsie,Jennie,Edward and John. All in a 3 bed terrace and they had a lodger, who had his own room.Talk about dont know we're born !!
I lived as a young boy in at 24 Pickup Street, the street to the left with John Baron's on the corner. I remember going into his shop as late as the mid-sixties. It became a café for a short time. I remember listening the Massecheusetts on the jukebox about 1968.
Barons Shop was a Cloggers and shoe shop if you look carefully at the second shop from the left, you will see a large boot outside the top window as an advertising logo this was there in the 50s/early 60s
