just out of shot on the right if my memory serves me correctly was the duel doorway one for the doctors and one for the pie shop that's healthy eating for us wiginers.can anyone tell me if my memory is correct?.

Yes Peter you are right, there was a doctors surgery on the right, with a narrow hallway/waiting room, with a long wooden bench to sit on. The window had green shading 3/4 way up for privacy although you could see in if you were on the top deck of the bus.My doctors were Holmes and Bacca.

Yes, to add to the lack of privicy in the surgery, the dividing wall in the waiting room was made from thin wood and you could hear every ailment and diagnosis

the bus was the 603 from Crossdale rd in Hindley Green.I seem to remember it was previously numbered 3or 3a(not sure but I think the 3a ran from Hindley station, and was renumbered 606)

The surgery was owned Dr Bullough, Dr Holmes and Dr Bekker, I think he was checkoslovakian, at that time they had 2 practices the other was in market street Hindley ,the forerunner of the Pennygate clinic now in Ladies lane, I remember the surgery well, also the barbers near to it
