Photograph of the chapel in the Infirmary 1950's. Does anyone know if the stained glass windows are still there?

Ron, do you think that item propped up on the lectern could be the two long lost picture of the Gidlow Sisters who donated so much wealth to The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary after whom the Gidlow Ward is named?

Colin that's what I thought but they seem to be a bit small for portraits???
The information I got from Jean Larner was that they were hung in the board room.

I am pleased to confirm that I have located the three Stained Glass Windows, now lovingly restored and set in place in the new chapel
.I am sure Ron will be adding a picture of this soon.

Thanks Winnie, I came across this link this morning by accident, your posting though is much appreciated. I am sure others will take a look at this.

What a shame the portraits are missing of the sisters. Their benevolence was truly generous. They should never be forgotten.
