I did leave a comment earlier today but it seems not to have been published....so here goes again. I had said itvwas a lovely smiling family group unlike most group pics of yester year...& I liked the bit of family history as well. Now.....Fingers crossed !

This is a lovely family photo.I remember some information coming from my cousin about our grandmother, when we were doing the family tree, and the name Sarah Jane Winstanley came up.

Sarah Jane Winstanley was my Aunty Sally, she married my mother’s brother Peter Winstanley and did, indeed, live at 20 Lily Lane, Bamfurlong. They had 3 children, Ernest, Edna and Kenneth. Edna is the only remaining one. I cannot remember any connection with the Fairhurst side of Aunty Sally’s family.

HI Aubrey we have spoken before , Sarah Jane Abrahams Winstanley was my grandfather Richard Abrahams sister, their mother was Jane Fairhurst married to Edward Abrahams from Ince -in Makerfeild . Jane registered John Thomas as a Fairhurst as they were not wed at the time. So although they have different surnames are still brother and sister
