An unusual angle - from scaffolding erected around the back walls of the church next door to allow re-pointing.
The Landrover is passing over Delph Bridge. Ince Brook passes under Warrington Road here - and stays underground until it emerges near Westwood Flash. In the corner of the old school playground beyond the Vicarage there is an access grid which United Utilies use to survey the invert carrying the brook underground.
The garden has 'matured' since then - I put the terraces in. They are held up by the concrete flags which used to be the playground surface for the school which once stood here. The stones facing them came either from the site - parts of the old school building simply bulldozed from the demolition down the slope - or from the demolition of Dower House Farm on Moss Lane.
