Recently visited same spot with my wife & sister in law and remarked about the glass houses being there. No more reflections in the water.
Today is only a shadow of this 1965 photo, it was indeed a beautiful place to visit.
Just been looking for the 'Like' button. Think I'm spending a touch too long on Facebook!
I get slammed every time I say it and I've been told it's looking pretty good again.. But, it isn't a patch on was back in the 50s,60s and even early 70s.. The younger generations, never knew how great Haigh Hall used to be, so are very happy with the way things are now... Such lovely memories I have of Sunday afternoons there...
I remember the greenhouses so well, and the rooms in the Hall, one of which held a glass case containing musical instruments.
I agree with you Janet Haigh Hall used to be a lovely place to go in the 60s and the early 70s everything has changed for the worst now that's the way I feel today about todays society.
