She still looks a beautiful girl ... A sign of the utilitarian times that existed. Many girls got married in a 'costume/suit' I know my mother did.
What a beautiful photo. I love forties fashions.
What a beautiful photograph of Uncle Tom and Auntie May . Thank you Philip for posting it ; I hadn't realised how alike Auinie May and Rosilad were . Hope you're keeping well?
.
Difficult & different times times then & people had to make the best of it all. A handmade costume....I suppose the material would have been bought on saved coupons & worn for best time & time again. Nice to have a photo of your parents Wedding Day Philip....I havent one of my parents...long story.
It's hard to think of your parents having a life before marriage and family..
Being young and carefree, especially if the war was on... But they must have had! :o)
Eileen. I'm well, thanks. I trust you and Tom are too. I think I may even have the odd photo of your wedding back in 19?? if you would like me to publish!
Philip glad to hear you are well . It would be interesting to see the photograph you mention the date was 12th of August 1967.
