An old photo of my Dads, Eric Cooke, first left, bottom row. He was a lab technician there.
Only the date is written on the back.
I'm assuming this was a social event there were attending looking at the background.

I thought Eric was still the Lab Technician at the T.L.S. until it merged with the Grammar School in 1963?

Could well have been Ron. I was just going through some old pics and found it. Only the date was on the back, so it could be another place he worked.

Tim I left at4 Christmas 1962 and I don't recognise any of the people as teachers at the T.L.S.

Obviously not Wigan Tech then Ron! Sorry, It could be the organists outing, as he was church organist at a couple of churches, but none of the other faces are familiar to me either. That's why I put the question mark at the end !

Jack Roberts on front row, 4th from left was my Dad. He left the Tech in 1963 and taught in a variety of places for the next few years, returning to the Tech in the mid seventies. He taught Physics and electronics.

Next to Gerry Coombes is George Barnes. Both those superb lecturers taught me A level physics.
