I read somewhere that the stone-built waiting room on one of the platforms at Red Rock station was kept permanently locked up for the exclusive use of the Earl of Crawford and Balcarres, and other members of the Lindsay family whenever they needed to travel from Haigh Hall by train.

Wonder if it was the derelict-looking building shown in this picture? Hope the station-master remembered to have the coal fire lit in good time before His Lordship arrived.
