This Ribble bus at the rear of the Wigan depot is a long Leyland PD3 with front entrance, similar to Wigan Corporation's EJP501-510, GJP8-19, HEK705-707 and HJP1-11 of 1959-61.This is 1760 RCK905 bodied by Metro Cammell, advertising Lennons supermarkets, and the one in Wigan was located in King Street on the site of the Hippodrome theatre. The bus would operate to Ormskirk, Southport, St Helens, the 320 route to Liverpool, and the 113 to Preston, but would never do the 125 to Preston via Chorley and the 239/249 to Blackburn as they were full height, and only low height double deckers could pass through Coppull railway bridge.The grey car is an early Austin 1800, with Southport registration BWM300B and has horizontal rear lights.
