O yea some feilds and a church.
Feel free to express your opinion Basil, but it would carry more weight if you learned how to spell.
dont no why some people have too pick up on otheres spelings probably one of the gang that follows me about. Ill no not to bother agian.
I love this 'typically English' scene DTease. And your photo has also inspired me to describe a scene that could have been witnessed upon 'the foreground field', many years' ago. Thanks.
"Caleb."
On field of corn, in clothing torn, young Caleb does his best
A country lad, no chance the cad, all-knowing friends attest.
Now Ploughman's Lunch - time-honoured munch, young Cathy holds the line
And apples, pressed, are always blessed, forsooth the cupboard wine.
He flicks his fork, by friendly 'bawk', the 'team' now pulling hard
Then casts his eye, to prowler sly; twice-ordered "Shoo! Reynard."
I often see a sign in the back windows of cars saying ' If you can read this , thank a teacher'.
I wonder who should hold more gratitude, Philip or Basil.
It's most odd that a fox should have no affinity for the open field is it not, unless of course Basil isn't a real fox.
Delightful photo and accompanying verse gentlemen. People enjoy!
Basil Brush: Don't be to upset DTease just had one of those Boom Boom moments.
Basil don't give up. - never give up!
You do all realise that this will go straight over Basil's head. He's a bit thick you see.
Basil Brush. This photo means nothing to you but to some people like me it is brings back thoughts of my family.Give it a rest.please
O yea some fields and a church..
It's a good opening line that.
Come on Basil. Finish it off.
I know you're more cunning than you let on.
Give up, Basil - it IS a church and some fields. Taken around this time of the year some years ago. Perhaps you'd like to go to the spot where the pic was taken all those years ago and take a fresh pic for us to compare it with.... Use your life, don't waste it.
Folks,I fear you maybe too quick to judge ,for without the crucial second line can we really be sure if Basil is about to burst into Rousseauian rapture or Hobbesian horror regarding the state of nature?.
By gum Poet, that's posh talk for a Standisher !!!
Basil you could 'brush' up on some reading and you would soon 'sweep' everyone away with your unfinished verse.
'Oh yeah ...some fields and a church'
Where birds fly over to rafters and perch,
Foxes find holes and come out at night,
scavenging and hunting to find a light bite!
Well it's a start lad!
Be careful folks, Basil will accuse you all of being in "the gang" who pick on him. Of course it's hard to tell which family member is doing the posting, he really hasn't the courage to post for himself but labels others as cowards on the communicate board. Typical sly fox tactics.
Do we have to keep putting up with this Basil Brush character spoiling WW. Now he's started on the album, it's not fair, he's stopping people from posting on a daily basis, now this. Admin please stop him before he ruins peoples pleasure even more on WW.
Looking at the Messageboards, this Basil person seems to have a very limited vocabulary. "tuther site" "the gang" "mac" and "nasty" seem to be the limit.
What a fantastic view of the church.
It looks very serene.
Goodness !! They,re coming owt of timber? Basil Lad , shift yourself bless! I,ve got a room at the back end , nee toilet , but short wall you can cop over .. I’ll do you a sandwich..
Basil couldn't get a sandwich down his scrawny neck he's only used to the wet slops from the Mount that's when he's sober that is.
Basil can't seem to grasp the concept of "bullying". Calling someone "nasty" is bullying. Perhaps he should change his user name to Bully Brush.
Nice shot. Winter Hill just out of the photo if I have my direction right. I can smell the freshly cut fields as I type. Thanks for the photo. Brilliant.
Basil:Well done my son that deserves a big Boom Boom. As Basil Brush would say after a punch line, I thought I could smell freshly cut grass but I think it's manure.
Baz have you eaten a dictionary?
And everyone thought Joseph was at death's door...NOT!
Here's the other driveller.
You still signing the Guestbook, Joseph?
Cold.
